A functional piece of art! This one of a kind, glamorous, solid wood, vintage desk has been completely refinished. It has been sanded down to bare wood and then hand-painted, layered with very light gray, greenish blue, and metallic gold that shimmers differently when the light catches it. The techniques used result in an ethereal, antique French opulence vibe. There are so many gorgeous details and moldings on this piece, so I accented them with gold to highlight their beauty. 

The top was sanded bare, the wood lightened, and then layered with a dry brush technique in different light colors to create a washed, faux wood grain look. The top is protected by the original glass. 

The drawers are solid, dovetailed, and slide easily. I lined the 6 side drawers with the most perfect matching fabric of greenish blue with metallic gold speckles. The fabric is attached to a removable insert, for easy change if desired. The center drawer has been left wood and oiled to bring out the richness (I did this in case pens/pencils would be stored in this drawer, to prevent damage to the fabric). All of the drawers are in great shape if you would prefer to remove the fabric liner and just have the wood (although I can’t imagine why you wouldn’t want to keep those gorgeous liners! ;~) ). This piece can be used as a desk or a vanity with the addition of a mirror. ***Cost includes shipping and insurance***

As with the nature of used, vintage, and antique furniture, these pieces are not perfect, but can have a certain character that comes with age. Part of the beauty of these pieces is their history and that one of a kind quality, which only comes with age. Though I do thorough repairs, update each piece to remove any unnecessary imperfections, and make sure each piece is structurally sound, there may be cosmetic characteristics that remain. Please note, there may be imperfections that I leave intentionally to add character to each piece. This is perfectly in line with my "lived-in glamour" design style.

Although all pictures are taken as to provide you with the most accurate representation of the piece, there are many variables that may alter the in-person experience, such as monitor calibration, lighting, etc. Please request more pictures or send a message if you find you are unsure of the color representation.

The shipping method is contingent on the size of your item and the destination. Deliveries that are sent directly to your location may require assistance from an adult and will be first floor placement only, unless other arrangements are made with the driver.
